Detail The Third Dimension – First Steps Needlework – Lesson 7 – Courtesy © Ryu (KR)
Hand embroidery is a wonderful way to unwind from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Nothing happens quickly, everything can be and nothing has to be. Make the variety of techniques and materials and the colorful world of colors an inspiration for your creativity. Pearl Threads, strandable threads, shiny threads, matte threads, thick threads, thin threads. Bright colors, pastel colors, single colors, variegated colors – everything the textile heart desires is tried out. Add to that loads of interesting embroidery fabrics – you’ll want to go on and on!
Samplers with simple shapes and lines are created with the beautiful variety of Painters Threads. Small works of art, designed with a needle and thread just as colorfully and three-dimensionally as if a painter had used a brush and paint. A basis that makes you want to take further courses and develop your very own style.
Our documentation will help you with that. They are peppered with lots of information about the most important basic techniques of hand embroidery. The elaborate stitch instructions are illustrated with step-by-step pictures and text instructions. Questions can be asked at any time by email – we will help you with any embroidery problem.
The seminar is suitable for: Beginners, returning stitchers, Sunday stitchers, stitching maniacs and all those who can not keep their fingers off the needle and thread and make it a treat for themselves each and every day. So, for everyone who likes to work with needle and thread, who is just as fascinated by the whole range of hand embroidery as we are and who are or would like to become part of the big worldwide family of happy stitchers. You don’t need any more previous knowledge.
It’s about a sensual experience, with us, too, the journey is the goal. Embroideries are time-consuming and yet: when they are finished, we are often already thinking about the next project. And that should be even more creative, and even more beautiful, etc. – this is exactly where we are leading you.
