Needlework – First Steps at the Textile Art School

You will learn the following basics of hand embroidery:
- Canvaswork: straight, diagonal and crossed stitches are worked on a hand-dyed countable stramin. We play with many different hand dyed embroidery threads.
- Plain-weave Embroidery: line stitches, knots and trellis are worked on a hand-dyed cotton fabric using a variety of hand-dyed embroidery threads.
- Ribbon embroidery: Small flower motifs can be created very quickly with hand-dyed silk ribbons. We work different roses, knots
and decorative stitches.
