Stitching like a Master on Weekends

We'll teach you the extensive knowledge of a globally popular artisanship and guide you on the path to creating your own idea. It is a winding road that does not lead to material wealth. The joy of handwork, the knowledge that you are making a very important contribution to the mental health of the world - the joy that comes from this outweighs all the hardships!

The focus of our Meisterklasse is on deepening the knowledge from one of the courses mentioned below, the combination of needlework techniques, the use of "unusual" materials and the implementation of what has been learned. On the one hand, set motifs, on the other hand, set themes come into play.

Prerequisite for participation in this seminar is the successful completion of

  • Master Needleworker
  • Master Needle Artisan (Corr.)
  • Master Needle Artisan (local course)
  • other participants on request


Use it as preparation for the development of your own courses, for the creation of a design portfolio, as preparation for studies or the practical part of the journeyman's examination for the profession of Designing Crafts WoMan / subject needlework. Or:

Completion/Duration of support: 4.5 years

Mandatory Attendance Days:

  • Introduction (2 days / fixed date)
  • 12 days per semester (freely selectable from the dates of the textile studio)
  • additional course days can be booked

average working time required for own work per week:
15 - 20 hours

Language of seminar materials/in class: optionally German or English

Registration Fee:  100€ (non-refundable)

Seminar fee:
The fee is payable in monthly instalments.

Cancellation options 

  • 12 weeks at the end of a semester

Material costs per semester: approx. 400€
All ISTA dates are subject to the Corona situation. Only when events without elaborate hygiene regulations and mask obligation are possible again, we can keep the dates.
